At present, serum tumor markers have been utilized for the early diagnosis of cancer and recurrence monitoring after therapy. Additionally, some studies have found that tumor markers can also be used as predictors for the prognosis of cancers. The most common markers used in gastric cancer (GC) are carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9). However, the prognostic value of serum CEA and CA19-9 levels for GC patients is still inconsistent, and previous studies usually focused on single tumor markers, which may lead to a low prognostic value of tumor markers due to their low sensitivity and high false-positive rates. Therefore, we hope to further explore the prognostic value of tumor biomarkers (combining CEA and CA19-9) in GC. PRESENT
