The hydrogenative cross-coupling of internal alkynes and aryl iodides by palladium/copper cooperative catalysis furnished a range of triarylethenes in moderate to good yield and stereoselectivity. Under the applied catalytic conditions, various functional groups, including silylether, chloro, fluoro, trifluoromethyl, and amine substituents, are tolerated.

Keywords: hydrogenative cross; internal alkynes; aryl iodides; alkynes aryl; coupling internal; cross coupling
