Thepharmaceutical composition including the extraction of emblica officinalis also reduces the proton leakage of the mitochondria, improves the maximal respiration of the mitochondria, improves the coupling efficiency of the adenosine triphosphate in the mitochondria, improves the spare respiratory capacity of the mitochondria, and reduces the amount of the free radical generated in the liver cells.
