In the article, the author discusses the need to achieve equity of access to palliative care on different communities worldwide amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Other topics include the need for every healthcare professional and organization to facilitate assessment and access of care regardless of socioeconomic status, gender identity and age, and the alleged discrimination faced by members of gay and black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities.
