Sheet resistance reduction in the Ag nanowire (NW) coated films was demonstrated without significant degradation of optical properties using two different types of geometry. The maximum decrease in the sheet resistance of Ag NW-coated films was observed to be 27%. We found that the rate of change in the sheet resistance depended on the size of the Ag NWs used. Films with thinner NWs had higher electric resistance due to surface scattering. We also demonstrated that the addition of short NWs was more effective in decreasing the sheet resistance than the long NWs up to an optimum point. Once the sheet resistance passed the optimum point, it increased rapidly.
