For processes that have an S-type quality characteristic, the index CpkuWSD provides a proper measure for process quality. In the context of the index CpkuWSD, the main purpose of this study is to construct efficient control charts via bootstrap procedures for monitoring the stability of process quality. Simulations show that these bootstrap procedures have reasonable empirical coverage probabilities. In addition, run rules are provided for decision-making.
