Modified graphite felt is a widely studied cathode material at present. Because of its corrosion resistance, high specific surface area and low cost, it shows great potential in electrochemical oxidation reduction. In this paper, various modification methods of graphite felt, such as introduction of oxygen-containing functional groups, doping of hetero-atoms, deposition of carbon materials, hydrophobicity and so on, are reviewed, in addition, the application effect of modified graphite felt in the removal of organic pollutants in water environment was summarized. Finally, the future research hotspots and challenges were prospected.
