In the article by O. Kanca, H. Bellen, and F. Schnorrer (GENETICS 207: 389–412) entitled “Gene tagging strategies to assess protein expression, localization and function in Drosophila,” Figure 1 and Figure 8 were replaced as they contained errors related to attL and attR sites. In Figure 1, the left panel was correct, but, in the right panel, the placements of attR and attL were switched. In Figure 8, A and C, upon recombinase-mediated cassette exchange, the cassettes should have been flanked by attR sites on both sides. In addition, the following sentence on p. 396: “This strategy has been successfully used to create a series of 200-kb clones covering large sections of the fourth chromosome available at the Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center (BDSC) (K. Venken, personal communication).” was erroneously referred as a personal communication between Dr. Venken and the authors. In the above sentence, “(K. Venken, personal communication)” was replaced with “(Flybase report FBrf0218451).”
