Purpose Headache is a frequent and problematic complaint in pediatric emergency departments (ED) that causes distress for the patients, family, and staff. Our purpose was to investigate the management of children presenting to an urban pediatric ED with headache complaints. Methods We conducted a retrospective chart review of patients presenting between January 1 and December 31, 2013.
