Purpose Obesity is known to increase complication rates associated with various medical interventions including cast treatment for pediatric distal radius fractures. We theorize that higher body mass index (BMI) increases the risk of loss of reduction (LOR) following successful closed reduction (CR) and casting for displaced pediatric both bone forearm fractures (BBFFs). Methods We performed a retrospective cohort study of children aged 2 to 18 years with closed BBFFs treated at our tertiary care children’s hospital.
