Children’s well-being is influenced by the conditions they were born, the care they receive and the interaction they establish with their caregivers. Children in situations of biological vulnerability, such as prematurity and low birth weight, or social vulnerability, as socioeconomic risk and maternal depression, are likely to have their global development even more impaired if they are exposed to fragile relationships. It is important to focus on promotion of positive parenting and healthy mother-child interactions to improve educational experiences and relationships in early childhood.
