Objective: This study evaluated the impact of well-child visits (WCV) on promoting preventive visits to the dentist. Effects by age, race, gender, procedure and diagnosis were investigated. Methods: Administrative claims data for 1.85 million Medicaid enrolled children aged 4 or less in 13 states for 2013 were identified from the Truven MarketScan Medicaid Database.
