Introduction: Since 2009, the number of Americans following gluten-free diets (GFDs) has tripled. Gluten-free diets have become especially popular as a “treatment” for neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
