In this essay, Lyotard’s perspective on the meaning of the philosophical word as a possibility for transforming reality is analyzed. For the philosopher, if it is necessary to transform the world, it is because there is an aspiration for something else. Thus, in the present, there is something that announces and anticipates, that calls for the future. There is a sense that circulates through things, through therelationships between human beings, and transforming the world really means releasing that meaning. Being present and absent, this meaning is what grants the full responsibility of the risk of making mistakes and also the possibility of being true through the word, which is its transcription. Hence, the transformingaction cannot fail to be a theory, in the true sense of the word. It is a word that you risk to say, a word that desires the desire for fulfillment.
