The present study shows the ultrastructure composition of six timber types from Costa Rica: Dipteryx panamensis (Pitt.) Record & Mell, Enterolobium cyclocarpum (Jacq.) Gris, Stryphnodendron excelsum Harms, Pithecolobium saman (Jacq.) Benth, Virola koschnyi Warb, Cordia alliodora (R. & P) Cham. We wish to pointed out their main structures which are: vascular elements, parenchyma, pits, cristals and fibers. All of those structures play a very important role for their identification an anatomical studies. These timbers actually are selected for reforestation programs due to their characteristics as soil protection and because their wood have different utilities. Although, this research gets much interest because include native species wich carried out a great ecological benefits.
