The objective of this dissertation was to identify the main causes of the growth of lawsuits in health against the public, state and municipal power in the state of Amazonas. It was based on a delimited analysis between the years of 2013 and 2017 of the existing lawsuits in the first instance of Amazonian judicial power, with a referential and critical analysis of similar situations found in the scientific literature in other states of the fed-eration. The present study was based on documentary analysis of scientific productions and related legislation, physical or electronic, in addition to the quantitative of the actions registered in the Amazonian justice body, initiated to obtain services, products or supplies for health. This has resulted in the identification of the main triggering factors of health judicialization, of the interference of justice in the flows and procedures of SUS that may violate the principles of equality and universality, when deciding in a very personal way to the detriment of the community, and, at the same time, of the lack of integrality of the provision of the public health services, by the responsible federal entities, in claims that could have been remedied before the judicialization, with the simple correction of administrative failures. It concludes, at the end, by the need for a dialogue between the judicial power and public health system, forcing greater organization of the federated entities in the fulfillment of their obligations, and reduction of actions in the courts to obtain the right to health.
