This article aims to discuss the global history, an intellectual enterprise on course since the beginning of the 1990’s. The multiplicity of approaches and historical trends, as the connected histories, entangled histories, transnational history, comparative history, global history, world history, and others, reveals the internal dispute on the field. Nevertheless, all this trends share the will to overcome the methodological nationalism and the Eurocentric/occidental views of History. However, to practice a Global History are necessary some methodological cares and intellectual investment. Even it look like complicated, there are many new themes and subjects extremely interesting to diversify, to amplify and to relate the Brazilian historical production with others historiographies.
