a These authors contributed equally The Darier’s sign was negative. There were no similar lesions on other parts of the body. His parents were non-consanguineous. The patient was otherwise healthy with no correlative family history. Dermoscopy showed multiple irregular ill-defined brownish macules. Under reflectance confocal microscopy, a few inflammatory cells and melanophages were observed, scattered in the superficial dermis, and hyperpigmentation in the basal layer was not obvious. A fungal infection was excluded based on direct microscopic examination of skin scrapings.
