Thoracoscopic surgery (TS) is a less invasive procedure than open thoracotomy because it involves less postoperative pain, a lower complication rate, a shorter time to ambulation, and shorter hospitalization. Clinically, patients who undergo TS do not always harbor mild-to-moderate postoperative pain.
