Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is a malignant tumor originating from the epithelial cells of secondand higher-order branches of the intrahepatic bile duct (1). While cholangiocarcinoma accounts for 10–15% of all hepatobiliary malignancies, ICC accounts for approximately 8% of cholangiocarcinomas (2,3).
