Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer and fourth leading cause of cancer death worldwide. The incidence of CRC has been rapidly rising in many Asian countries in the past few decades (1). Approximately 21% of CRC are diagnosed with the existence of metastasis, and these patients have a 5-year survival rate of 13.8% in the United States in 2018 (2).
