The article focuses on workplace hygiene, public health, and the impact of technological, economic, and social changes on employment and health. It comments on the decline in labor unions and how existing labor unions use their bargaining power to resist cuts to benefits such as health care. It talks about how artificial intelligence and robotics could soon make most labor and jobs redundant.
