ABSTRACT Huang, J.; Han, X., and Peng, Y., 2020. Research on the promotion performance of optical film in marine lidar system. In: Wan, Z. (ed.), Coordinated Sustainable Development in Coastal Areas: Environment and Economy. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 109, pp. 34–38. Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208. The optical film is a really important and the most vulnerable link in the marine lidar system. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to study the damage mechanism of the optical lidar in the marine lidar and how to improve the damage threshold of the marine lidar. This article first comprehensively analyzes the interaction between lidar and thin film materials from micro and macro aspects, as well as the destruction mechanism of optical thin film lidar, and combines the experimental data given in the literature to systematically introduce the optical properties of lidar thin films. The factors influencing the damage threshold of marine film lidar are discussed from two aspects of marine lidar and thin film, and suggestions on how to improve the damage threshold of optical thin film marine lidar.
