Annually in Russia there are more than 450 thousand strokes. And in the whole world this figure reaches almost 6 million. In the Russian Federation, more than 1 million people suffered an ischemic stroke, and more than 80% of them have a disability. The most important in the development of ischemic stroke is the presence of risk factors for chronic non-infectious diseases. Objective: identification of the most significant risk factors for chronic non-infectious diseases in patients who underwent ischemic stroke and studying technologies for secondary prevention of ischemic stroke. Materials and methods. One-stage cross-sectional study of the main risk factors of chronic non-infectious diseases (arterial hypertension, smoking, hypodynamia, hypercholesterolemia, atrial fibrillation, overweight and obesity, alcohol abuse, hyperglycemia) in patients with ischemic stroke and in the control group. Results and discussion. In the group of patients who underwent an ischemic stroke in the first place, according to the frequency of occurrence, there is an arterial hypertension, at the last - hyperglycemia. Comparative analysis of risk factors for chronic non-infectious diseases in the group of patients who underwent ischemic stroke and in the control group showed a statistically significant increase in prevalence in the group of patients with arterial hypertension, atrial fibrillation, alcohol abuse, smoking and hyperglycemia. The conclusion. The identified risk factors justify the need for secondary prevention, the introduction of modern technologies in this direction.
