Covid-19is declared as pandemic by WHO and non-availability of specific drug or vaccine has resulted in infection outburst and transmission. Exigent situation has rendered the repurposed drugs as effective first line of treatment against SARS-CoV-2 due to availability of their pharmacological and toxicity profile, clinical data and other regulatory aspects. Increased emphasis is being laid on traditional treatment in various countries as it primarily works as immunity boosters thus playing a crucial role in prevention. However, their established role in the treatment of Covid-19remains a subject of clinical validation. This review focusses on the available therapiesin various countries that are proposed to play a significant role against preventing oxidative stress in Covid-19 patients and their putative mechanism of action. It provides an in-depth coverage of the medicinal approaches used across the globe that primarily targets oxidative stress encountered during Covid-19 infection. This will add to the knowledge repertoire of Covid-19thus strengthening the drug discovery approach.
