Simple Summary This research addresses the critical issue of surgical site infections (SSI) and fascial dehiscence (FD) in patients with gynecological cancer, a group often overlooked in existing studies. We aim to identify key risk factors associated with these complications following open surgery by focusing on a specific patient population. We showed that the effect of the duration of surgery depends on whether bowel surgery was performed or not. Similarly, the effect of BMI on the occurrence of SSI is influenced by the patient’s age, with younger patients experiencing a significantly steeper rise in their risk of SSI with increasing BMI. The findings could significantly impact the medical community by highlighting the need for tailored prevention strategies, particularly when bowel surgery is involved or in younger patients with obesity. This research aims to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care for those undergoing surgery for gynecological malignancies.
