We present a study on the inclusion of the theme of Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations (ERER) within the scope of the popular preparatory course CEUE– Porto Alegre - RS. The methodology used consists of a documentary interpretative analysis of the syllabus contents of a set of lectures presented in preparatory activities. The documents were provided by teachers and the institution's management. We use the theoretical contribution of Cultural Studies as an interpretive resource for anti-racist teaching practices mobilized within the scope of the aforementioned Pre-university entrance exam. We understand the insertion of ERER as an important development in meeting the inclusive demands of identity guidelines. By opening a space for discussion about the ERER theme, the educational institution places itself as an ally of the struggles of black social movements and assumes an affirmative and propositional stance. Such a positioning has powerful effects with regard to the promotion of racial equality, as well as inclusive, counter-hegemonic and problematizing educational practices of social structures.
