Objective To analyze the effect of bladder water expansion combined with intravesical instillation in the treatment of ketamine associated cystitis. Methods A total of 40 patients with ketamine associated cystitis in our hospital from January 2015 to January 2017 were selected, these patients were divided into water bladder dilatation, bladder perfusion combined treatment group (combined treatment group, n=20) and single intravesical treatment group (single treatment group, n=20) two groups according to the treatment methods. The voiding intervals, residual urine volumes, bladder volumes, ICSI scores, ICPI scores, OABSS scores of the two groups were statistically analyzed. Results The voiding interval of the combined treatment group was significantly longer (P<0.05), the bladder capacity was significantly higher (P<0.05), the ICSI score, ICPI score, OABSS score were significantly lower than the single treatment group (P<0.05). Conclusions The effect of bladder water expansion combined with intravesical instillation in the treatment of ketamine associated cystitis is better than single intravesical treatment. Key words: Cystitis; Ketamine; Perfusion
