Tables and figures are commonly adopted methods to present specific data or a statistical analysis result. Figures can show data characteristics with visual and intuitive distributions, making it easier to interpret the statistical results. To maximize the positive aspects of figure presentation and to deliver more concrete content, which the researchers want to argue, one should be cautious to select an adequate type of figure and should include several necessary ingredients in it. This article explains commonly using figures in the research area, and essential components for the corresponding figures with examples.
