989 Primary angiitis of the central nervous system (PACNS) refers to vasculitis limited to the brain, spinal cord, and meninges without any secondary etiology. It is a rare disease, with one study estimating the average annual incidence rate of PACNS to be 2.4 cases per 1,000,000 person‐years.[1] The disease can affect people of any age but usually occurs in the fourth or fifth decades of life.[2]
