Further, one‐third full‐thickness laceration has been classified as a destructive injury. We believe that a lamellar laceration (closed globe type) cannot be differentiated from a one‐third full‐thickness laceration (destructive globe type). The classification system previously published by the authors is much realistic in classifying the destructive injuries with full thickness laceration and one‐third globe circumference.[2]
