T Indian Society of Periodontology has completed its 44 years of meaningful existence and is marching ahead in the right direction successfully. There have been a lot of changes which have occurred through these years and the current lot of members including many of the office bearers are a witness to it or at least are in the knowhow of it. The society has gained in strength and now we are a proud family of over 5000 members. The strength of the society is one of the indicators of the belief and confidence of the members in the society and fortunately this belief is continued irrespective of the people occupying key positions in the society. With the increase in numbers there is a commensurate increase in the challenges being faced by the society and its members and which needs to be addressed properly.
