This study recruited a sample of 2,206 (1001 males and 1205 females) 15-18 year old students from urban and rural secondary schools in the Al Minia region of Egypt. They were tested for abstract non-verbal reasoning ability with Raven’s Advanced Progressive Matrices (RAPM), and measured for head circumference and height. Intelligence was significantly correlated with head circumference (r = .243, p<.001) and height (r = .188, p<.001), after controlling for sex and age.
