We have recently read with great interest the article by Köklü et al1 entitled “Asymptomatic cerebral emboli following carotid artery stenting: a diffusionweighted MRI study.” We appreciate the authors for their study describing the predictors of asymptomatic cerebral emboli following carotid artery stenting (CAS). On the other hand, we believe that there are some major drawbacks that need to be addressed.
