This study intends to find relationship between Epstein –Bar virus (EBV) and Human Papilloma virus (HPV) with prostate tumor. It includes 70 paraffin impeding block tissue from archives of AL-Sadder Teaching Hospital in AL-Najaf city and some of archive of private histopathology laboratories in AL-Najaf city, the data from January 2016 to December of the same year, using immunohistochemistry (IHC) for detecting oncogenic protein of (LMP-1) for EBV and (L-1) for HPV and using Hematoxylin and Eosin stain for diagnosis of prostate tissue (normal, benign hyperplasia BHP and malignant).Also the classification of malignant prostate according to Gleason Grade (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5), and show the high percentage was in Grade 1, the malignant tissue with virus was 6/20, (30%) as (5/13, 25%) for EBV and (8/13, 40%) for HPV, the remind 7/20, (35%) was malignant without virus, while in HPV, the percentage with virus was (7/40, 17, 5%); (2/7, 5%) for EBV and (5/7, 12.5%) for HPV, the remind (33/40, 82.5%) was benign without virus. The present study shows an increase in the incidence of prostate cancer at the age groups (71-80)years old patients with 50% from the total percentage (p<0.001) and also this life stage was high percentage for positive LMP-1(7/60, 11.7%) and negative LMP-1 (53/60, 88.3%) and also high percentage in L-1 (13/60, 21.7%) in positive, and (47/60, 78.3%) in negative. The percentage of EBV in Grade of prostate malignant was higher in Grade 5 as (3/7, 43.8%) while in Grade (4, 3,) was (2/7, 28.6 %) for each, and in Grade (1, 2) was zero when compared with healthy control the data was clearly significant to malignant prostate. Also the percentage of L-1 for HPV in Grade was high percentage in Grade 5(4/13, 30.8%) and both Grade 2, 4 was (3/13, 23.1), while in Grade 3 is (2/13, 15.4%) and Grade 1 is (1/13, 7.7%).More ours the EBV and HPV are higher percentage in Urban than in Rural. In Urban they are (65% in positive and 67.5% in negative) while in Rural they are (35% in positive and 32.5% in negative. This study concludes that the EBV and HPV are of high risk for prostate men and also the age and residence are effecting in prostate men.
