Background/Objectives: To analyze the effects of core stabilization and combined exercise on the dynamic balance in young healthy women, based on surface stability. Methods/Statistical analysis: The subjects of this study were separated into two groups: stable and unstable surface groups. They performed exercise composed of a warm-up, the main session, and a cool-down for 60 minutes three times a week for four weeks. Dynamic balance was measured by limits of stability. Two-way ANOVA was used to compare the dynamic balance according to the groups and time. Findings: The balance parameter measured was the range of the anteroposterior, mediolateral center of pressure displacement, trace length, C90 area, C90 angle, and velocity. Between the pre-test and the post-test, there was a notable difference in the mediolateral center of pressure displacement upon the stable surface and the unstable surface. Improvements/Applications: The core stabilization and combined exercise performed on top the stable surface and unstable surface could improve the dynamic balance of the mediolateral direction.
