It is the primary cause of lower respiratory tract infections and surgical site infections[2,3] and the second leading cause of nosocomial bacteraemia[4], pneumonia, and cardiovascular infections.[2,3]Medical plants can be valuable in therapeutic procedures.[5] Interest in plant and plant procedure with antimicrobial properties have been revived as a result of current resistant profiles associated with inappropriate usage of antibiotics.[6,7] Ginger (Zingiber officinale) has long been used as naturopathy due to their potential antimicrobial activity against different microbial pathogens.
