Abstract: 物理学は数学による理論の構築と実験によるそ の理論の検証という二元的で確実な方法論を採用 することによって,自然現象についての法則を明 らかにし,科学の基礎をつくりあげてきた。近代 という工業生産時代の基礎をつくったのは,マク ロな自然を対象にしたアイザック・ニュートンの 力学と自他を分離するルネ・デカルトの二元論哲 学である(トゥールミン,2001)。1920年代に ミクロな自然を対象にする量子物理学が芽吹い た。その芽が巨木にまで成長した20世紀は(ク マール,2017),モノを中心にする近代という時 代がコトを中心にするポスト近代という時代へ変 わる移行期にあたる。わたしたち昭和一桁生まれ の研究者は,諸説が入り乱れ判断の難しかったこ の時代を,進むべき道を迷いの中で探し求めて生 きてきた。これまでに科学が明らかにした最も基 本的なことを,わたしなりに整理すると次のよう になる。 ・ 万物の源は情報である。ビッグバンによって無 から有が生まれた(クラウス,2013)。情報も ビッグバンで生まれたのではないかと思われる が,まだ物理学では証明されていないようであ る。 ・ 情報は不滅である。消そうと思っても消えな い。隠れたり移ったりするだけである(例え ば,佐藤,2011)。だからこの世はこれまでに 生まれた情報で満ちあふれている。この世は情 報曼荼羅だ。すべての学問はその情報曼荼羅の 一部を整理したものに過ぎない。 ・ 情報は物理的である 1)。情報そのものに姿かた ちはないが,いつでも物理的に具象化されてい… read more here.
