Abstract: Bio-based crotonic acid was prepared via the thermolytic distillation of polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) and PHB-enriched bacteria, and then subjected to a photocatalyzed hydroacylation, showing a comparable reactivity with that of commercial crotonic acid. read more here.
