Abstract: Two vinyl-functionalized chiral 2,2'-bis(diphenylphosphino)-1,1'-binaphthyl (BINAP) ligands, (S)-4,4'-divinyl-BINAP and (S)-5,5'-divinyl-BINAP, were successfully synthesized.
