Abstract: A Gram-reaction-negative, peach-brown-pigmented, slightly curved-rod-shaped, aerobic, non-motile bacterium, designated GSA243-2T, was isolated from fresh water samples collected from the Chishui River flowing through Maotai, Guizhou, south-west PR China.
