Abstract: Abstract Two new Zn(II) coordination compounds, namely [Zn2(mbdc)2(bix)2]n (1) and [Zn4(bptc)2(bix)4]n (2) (H2mbdc = isophthalic acid, H4bptc = biphenyl-3,3′,5,5′-tetracarboxylic acid, bix = bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene) were successfully obtained using the dual-ligand synthetic strategy.
