Abstract: Abstract A new ionic conjugated polymer, poly(2-ethynyl-N-perfluorohexylpyridinium iodide) (PEPFHPI), was synthesized via the non-catalyst polymerization of 2-ethynylpyridine using perfluorohexyl iodide.
