Abstract: Biological mechanisms of foreskin HIV acquisition are poorly defined. The inner foreskin is preferentially infected in explant models, so we hypothesized that this site would be enriched for HIV‐susceptible CD4+ T cells and proinflammatory/chemoattractant cytokines. read more here.
