Abstract: Given the urgent need to develop new methods of CO2/CO utilization, understanding the mechanism of acetyl-CoA synthase (ACS)—a primordial nickel-containing enzyme that converts these gases into a source of cellular energy—is crucial; however, conflicting hypotheses…

Abstract: Inhibition of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA synthase (HMGS) retarded root growth in Arabidopsis seedlings by reducing stigmasterol, auxin, and cytokinin levels. Differentially expressed proteins and metabolite changes revealed a relationship between HMGS and glucosinolate biosynthesis.
