Abstract: Three Co(II) complexes of terephthalate anion containing 1,10‐phenanthroline (phen) or 2,2′‐bipyridine (2,2′‐bipy), are prepared. The structures of dimeric [Co2(H2O)4(μ‐H2O)2(phen)2]4+·2(C8H4O42−), 1, and the polymeric [Co2(H2O)2(phen)2(μ‐C8H4O4)2]n, 2, complexes were confirmed by single crystal structure determination.
