Abstract: A three-step synthesis of 2-arylamino-5-formyl-pyrimidines is developed by condensation of the bis(hexafluorophosphate) Arnold salt with N-arylguanidines. This method conveniently provides the corresponding 2-arylaminopyrimidine derivatives in good yields. read more here.
