Abstract: Two new α- Pyrone derivatives (1,2) have been isolated from the endophytic fungus Embellisia sp. The isolated compounds were chemically identified as 5-(3-S-hydroxybutyl)-4-methoxy-6-methyl-2H-pyran-2-one (1) and 4-(4-methoxy-6-methyl-2-oxo-2H-pyran-5-yl)butanoic acid (2).
