Abstract: A hydrostable and methyl-functionalized MOF with a qtz topology constructed from dinuclear clusters, {[Cd(1,4-NDC)(3,3′-dmbpy)]·(H2O)}n (1) (1,4-H2NDC = 1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylic, 3,3′-dmbpy = 3,3′-dimethyl-4,4′-bipyridine) was synthesized and structurally characterized.
