Abstract: Four isomeric, homoleptic iridium(III) metal complexes bearing 5‐(trifluoromethyl)imidazo[4,5‐b]pyridin‐2‐ylidene and 6‐(trifluoromethyl)imidazo[4,5‐b]pyridin‐2‐ylidene‐based cyclometalating chelates are successfully synthesized.
